We are back after our winter break and in full propagation mode. Still keeping winter business hours of Monday through Friday 10 - 4. We open on Saturdays in March and will add Sundays in April. Check our latest inventory for current availability. Though we are at a low in inventory, our availability will increase with each week as we head into spring.
Native bulbs are specialty items we have available seasonally. Three species we have available now in four inch pots are relatively easy in cultivation. Single leaf onion, Ithuriel's spear and harvest brodiaea are beautiful and adaptable, tolerant of heavy soils and can spread vigorously. Their cycle begins with the first rains, where they send up vegetative growth. Once they begin to flower their water needs diminish as they begin to go to seed. Eventually they will go summer dormant and can go summer dry. Tuck into meadow plantings, rock gardens, among chaparral shrubs or openings in woodlands. Excellent container subjects too.
We have lots of interesting and beautiful plants in store for you in 2016 and look forward to seeing you this spring!
