Selected by Heidi Freestone, long time Sonoma County gardener, thought to be a hybrid between Origanum microphyllum and Origanum ‘Betty Rollins’. Mounding habit, 2 ft. tall x 2 ft. wide, with small aromatic leaves topped with a haze of tiny, dark mauve-purple flowers over a long period in the summer. Highly attractive to bees. Plant in full sun to light shade with moderate water. Deer resisitant.
