Verbena bonariensis

A long blooming perennial tolerant of dry conditions. Grows to about 4 ft. tall with flat topped heads of bright purple flowers all summer. Tough and attractive. Seeds itself about - often a nice contribution rather than a problem. Butterflies really like these flowers.
