Trifolium repens
‘Purpurascens Quadrifolium’

An interesting form of white clover with gorgeous maroon leaves edged in green. White clover flowers are attractive to bees and butterflies. The roots of this plant fix nitrogen in the soil. A vigorous protrate spreader, rooting at the nodes, make it potentially invasive. Use where it can roam as a ground cover or mixed with shrubs and sturdy perennials or as a bulb cover. Wonderful in containers too. Plant in full sun to light shade with regular water.
