Thought to be a hybrid of Salvia sonomensis, this mounding sage grows around 18 inches tall by 3 ft. wide. Dark green foliage is a lovely foil for the 8 inch spikes of dark purple flowers in spring. Needs good light but appreciates light shade. Deer and drought tolerant. This species attracts hummingbirds.
