*Romanzofia californica
mist maidens

A sweet llittle native perennial that creeps over mossy rocks in winter and spring moist areas. Scalloped leaves set off dainty clusters of white cup-shaped flowers in spring. Goes dormant in the summer.
Requires a special place in the woodland garden where it's moist in the spring and dry in the summer. Grows nicely in containers, which could be set aside once dormant, until the rains return.
