Perovskia atriplicifolia
'Filigran'
Russian sage

Sturdy upright shrubby perennial with finely cut felted gray leaves and a haze of little dark purply-blue velvety flowers from mid-summer to fall. Differs from P. atriplicifolia in the darker blue flowers, the more finely cut “filigree” foliage, and growing somewhat taller (to about 4 ft.). Grow in full sun - likes heat. Somewhat drought tolerant and deer don’t seem to eat it!
