Oxalis spiralis ‘Aureus’
oxalis

This subtropical oxalis has glowing coppery-yellow foliage on pinkish-red succulent stems. Growing 6 - 8 inches tall and spreading, it is adorned with bright golden yellow flowers for months. A tender species, hardy to around 30°F, there is no risk of it becoming invasive here. A wonderful addition to container plantings or summer bedding schemes. Cool sun to light shade with regular water. This accent plant will over winter in mild Bay Area climates. In colder areas give protection: under an eave, indoors, or take some cuttings before the frost.
