Limonium ramosissimum
ssp. provinciale
dwarf statice

Native to the western Mediterranean, this is a sweet, dainty dwarf form of statice. Perfect for the rock garden or container planting, this perennial tolerates sun, heat and many soil types, but requires good drainage. A fairly thrifty plant, it needs moderate summer water. The rosette of leathery leaves grows 3 - 4 inches tall. The sprays of soft lavender flowers are on 6 - 8 inch spikes. Like other statice, they make good “everlasting” cut flowers.
