Hemerocallis flava
lemon lily

This old garden plant grown since the sixteenth century is still cherished today, even amongst all the newer hybrids. Grows 2 1/2 - 3 ft. tall and wide with beautiful lily-shaped flowers of clear pure yellow with a delightful fragrance in mid to late spring. Easy to grow in almost any soil type, in sun to light shade with regular water. This species daylily dies back to the ground in winter and is extremely cold hardy.
