*Helenium puberulum

This native sunflower family member is a lover of wet places: streamsides, marshes, meadows, seeps, etc. Grows 2 - 3 ft. tall. The leaves run down the stems which gives an interesting effect along with the small yellow flowers with rounded centers and small down-turned petals in late summer. Attracts a wide variety of insects including bees and butterflies. Grow in sun to light shade with regular water. Reseeds readily.
