Joe pye weed

A named variety of the wonderful East Coast native joe pye weed. Selected for its compact habit and large billowy flower heads of purplish-pink, mid summer. Stems are wine-red and grow 4 - 6 ft. tall. Dies back in winter. Best with regular water and full sun. The sweetly fragrant flowers are attractive to butterflies. The fluffy seed heads are enjoyed by goldfinches.
