One of the native buckwheats forming spreading low mats of little leaves with felty backs. In summer stalks carry flat clusters of sulfur yellow flowers which fade to shades of burnt orange. Great for the dry landscape. A choice rock garden plant also. Wants full sun, good drainage, and is drought tolerant when established. A butterfly favorite.
