*Epilobium ‘Etteri’
aka Zauschneria 'Etteri'
California fuchsia

Showy perennial, native to California, and a favorite of hummingbirds because of the 1 1/2 inch scarlet tubular flowers in late summer. Forms a low silvery mat. Grow in full sun with moderate water. This epilobium, possibly because of its assumed E. septentrionale parentage, does not like to go completely dry. Cut to the ground in winter. Flowers best with occasional deep watering.
