Cestrum ‘Bacchus’

From the Marin County garden of the noted geranium expert Robin Parer. This shrub has the most unusual shade of lavender purple tubular flowers-dusky mauve with plum at the tip, thickly borne in clusters. We have found no references to this particular cestrum, but it is most likely a little tender; wanting some winter protection in colder areas (such as an overhang or close to a house wall). Avoid hottest sun. Water moderately. Deer usually don’t eat cestrum, but hummingbirds do.
