Beautiful large shrub rapidly grows 12 - 20 ft. tall and wide. Dark shiny green foliage with large blue spike-like flower clusters in the spring. Tolerates pruning, can be trained as a small tree. Sun and drought tolerant. Shrubby ceanothus provide seeds eaten by bushtits, mockingbirds, quail and finches, as well as cover for birds.
