*Ceanothus cuneatus
buckbrush

This plant is a real workhorse for hot dry hillsides. The pale pink flowers are unexciting visually but highly fragrant. Not a good choice for a small lowland garden. 6 ft. or more tall and wide with time. Full sun, good drainage. Shrubby ceanothus provide seeds eaten by bushtits, mockingbirds, quail and finches, as well as cover for birds.
