manzanita

A beautiful and durable manzanita. Upright shrub 5 - 6 ft. tall. Handsome gray-green foliage with wonderful purplish-brown trunks. Covered with showy clusters of pink urn-shaped flowers in spring. Great for sunny areas where it endures heat and drought. The manzanita berries can attract mockingbirds, robins, and cedar waxwings. It provides low shrubby cover for quail and wren-tits and its flowers provide nectar for hummingbirds.
